Lately we have been enjoying and working on collaging or "cut and paste"-ing different shapes of from different colored paper on white paper. Here are some cute little examples of some of the things we've been experimenting with:
We made some collage pumpkins with mixed media (watercolor, sharpies, crayons, scissors and glue). Learning about shapes and observing what pumpkins looked like, we drew what we saw in sharpie and painted them in warm color watercolors. After drying the pumpkins were cut out, and then glued onto a fall scene created in crayons on construction paper. We were all about the lines in the art room. Kindergarten created these amazing art works- yes kindergarten! We painted some lines we learned about in black tempra and then filled in the spaces with the PRIMARY COLORS- if you don't know them ask any of our little artists and I'm sure they will be happy to tell you! :)
